Kalpesh Lathigra, born and based in London—Forest Gate, to be specific—is a photographer who has produced work for a number of internationl publications. Having studied at London College of Printing, Lathigra's work occupies the space between documentary and art, which is charged by the experiences that have shaped his life. In this chat, we discuss Lathigra's photo projects, such as his first monograph, “Lost in the Wilderness”, a body of photographs with the Oglala Sioux and the Pine Ridge Reservation, among other bodies of work which are supported by his intent to give space to lesser known expressions.
